AFJROTC Mission
The Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) mission is to develop citizens of character dedicated to serving the nation and community.

The AFJROTC program is a Title 10 United States Code, Armed Forces, MANDATED citizenship training program open to 9th-12th grade students that provides:
- Leadership training
- An aerospace science program for high school students to explore the historic and scientific aspects of aerospace technology

AFJROTC Staff
The AFJROTC staff includes:
- 31 personnel assigned to headquarters
- More than 1,900 retired USAF officer and enlisted military instructors

AFJROTC Units
There are 870 AFJROTC units representing the Air and Space Forces:
- Approximately 860 represent the USAF
- The other 10 represent the Space Force

With nearly 120,000 cadets in:
- High schools across the United States
- Selected Department of Defense dependent schools in Europe and the Pacific
- Public schools in Puerto Rico and Guam
